So cozy in my comfort zone but so miserable

Successful performers know that the most uncomfortable place in which to be is the “comfort zone”. Anthony Steward who in 1992 sailed around the world in a 5.8-meter open boat was asked to tell when he was the most afraid, and his answer was, “When I was on the island, because I was going nowhere”.

Comfort zones do not allow you to go anywhere. Instead they cause you to experience frustration, resentment, fear, anxiety, etc. The focus becomes inward and you begin to be a victim. The absence of risk is called: the comfort zone. The more you are in your comfort zone the less you are alive. We as human beings are in constant need of challenge. Failing to continuously set new targets puts an individual at risk to automatically get ruled again by the old patterns uploaded by the sub-conscious.

There may be an area or two in your life where you feel there is no traction, no growth. Let’s consider health, eating habits that leave you feeling yuck. Once you decide what it is that you want, don’t worry yourself too much or overwhelm yourself silly thinking about exactly how you will achieve it. Just have your end result in mind – more energy? Optimum weight? A better relationship with food?

Consider possible little things you can do or change that takes you a bit out of your comfort zone. Small changes start a chain reaction that lead to you experiencing new feelings, opportunities and circumstance that will get you to where you want to be.

 Allow me to share my baby action steps out of my comfort zone and then you write down a few action steps next, for yourself;

- get up 15 minutes earlier and mentally create my day and my body
- drink a green smoothie daily
-Use Stevia instead of Processed sugar
- exercise for an extra 10 minutes
- start up a monthly potluck or support group for people in my community that also    want to create more health.

What positive challenges can you think of committing to that will make 2013 even better than this year?  Accomplishing a few little things yields greater results over time and they are easier to stick to.

Little tiny change requires little tiny steps
Great big change requires little tiny steps.

 Much Love

5 ways to avoid weight gain these holidays

Hello Friends!

I hope you are also looking forward to the holidays after a great, crazy blessed year. I love the holidays because its my time to connect with my family more, reflect on my year and rest. I am very grateful for not going away or having any huge plans, staying at home with family is such a cosy feeling.

Definately on every woman's (and mens) mind are the holidays and planing: Events, cooking, family, eating, drinking, eating, gifts, eating...

For some it leaves us feeling like we need a holiday from the holiday but not me, no sir. Water rich food is my salvation.

I want to share some ideas on keeping energy levels up, tummy flat and feeling like you want  to get into that bikini.

In South Africa, we get to enjoy a very hot summer so staying juicy and raw is wonderful.

1. Juice. Having fresh vegetable juice every morning will keep cravings away and give you a happy feeling. Have as much as you want. It will flush your body and mind of toxins and hydrate you.

2. Before a big meal (lunch and dinner), have fruit or even better, a green smoothie. Packed with fibre it will fill you and nourish you so you eat less of the main meal and pudding.

3. No late night eating.

4. Avoid wheat, glue (gluten) and processed sugar. Substitute breads with wholegrain rice or Quinoa.

5. Good Food Combining. My Fiance' enjoys fish and chicken but he has changed how he eats his meals. After listening to my advice (  ;) he does not combine protein with starch. Protein is combined with salad at one meal and carbs with salad at the next. He reports that he feels good, no bloating or tiredness.

These tips are not just for the holidays but will serve you well always. Id love to hear what works for you.

Enjoy the holidays beautiful people.

My Brothers 10 day Raw food cleanse. The results are in.

Hello lovely readers!

I am so happy to be sharing this stuff with you!

A few weeks ago, my brother approached me and asked me to help him detox physically.
His goal was to feel better about himself, to lose some weight as it affected his self esteem and to have the energy he needed to be productive and have mental sharpness. Ofcourse, he came to the right sibling, when he asked me I was so excited :) and thats because I know the difference raw foods can make and I want it for everyone :). Thank you Pano for letting me share this info!

The 10 day journey was unique to him and was based on where he was at, his goals, which raw foods he likes nore than others. Eating has to be enjoyable you know, even on a cleanse ;).

His lifestyle and diet pre-cleanse was;
no consumption of fruits or vegetables (raw or cooked)
very little water.
The basis of his diet was bread, meats, dairy (a lot of cheese and milk), sugar, coffee and alchohol.
No exercise
High levels of stress

The 10 day cleanse eliminated all aminal foods and consisted of:
Salads with steamed vegetables
green smoothies and juices daily to super hydrate and flush
water
fruit
A live supplement of dehydrated grasses

I am happy to report these changes. He did all the hard work, endured detox and was patient with himself.

                                               Before:                             After:

weight                                     96.3kg                             90.3kg   - 6kg down
body measurements                                                       11cm down
blood pressure                        128/97                              112 / 77
PH level                                   5.5                                    7.00    - This is 100 times less acidic from 5.5
Blood Sugar                             4.8                                   4.3

The beauty of this way of cleansing and eating as opposed to conventional diets is that with live alkaline foods we put nutrition into the body when we eliminate the bad instead of only doing the latter. We give it what it needs to cleanse. Nature knows best.

Well done Brother, your discipline inspired me. Love you!!

I can tell you why you should eat more leafy greens.

Hi Beautiful people.

I thought Id share knowledge about this super food because its super important in creating better health. Im talking about leafy greens; kale, all types of spinach, lettuce, parsley and various herbs.

Leafy greens in their raw state are a complete food, loaded with Iron, vitamins, calcium, magnesium and potassium. These are all the alkaline minerals that our body needs. Greens are in fact the best source of alkaline minerals in the world, next to sea vegetables.

Chorophyll is what gives leaft greens their colour. A molecule of Chlorophyll is almost identical in form and composition to a molecule of human blood, giving our blood exactly what it needs - natures blood transfusion. This is so vital because the health of our blood determines the health of our organs.

The chlorophyll also shows their rich content of antioxidants. Antioxidants protect the plant cells from free radicals that are generated by sun rays. Eating raw greens means that this benefit becomes your benefit from the inside out, and it shows!

Also, an abundance of raw greens in your diet reduces unwanted cravings of salt and fatty foods.

I have noticed my own skin improve from making this one dietary change alone because Leafy greens are filled with beta-carotene, essential for renewing skin cells, re-building skin and giving you a clear glowing complexion, healthy looking hair and nails.

There are a variety of ways that you could incorporate more into your life;
add raw spinach, parsley and herbs to your salads
use swiss chard to make wraps filled with fruit. the combination is delicious
make green smoothies and juices daily

Experiement, explore and make the change in ways that are best for you.
To your health and hapiness

Conscious eating

Eating is such a huge part of our lives, no matter how healthy or unhealthy we are. No matter how disciplined we are in eating the right foods, its a massive part of our daily lives.
What should I cook for Lunch?,dinner?, Is it lunch time yet? What do I feel like? Im craving this, I wish I had that! Lets catch up over breakfast! What shall I Cater for that event. We use feasting to celebrate events, to mourn our losses and to cope with discomfort, Its endless, but tasty right?

Very seldom do we ask the question; why am i eating right now? – to nourish our body ofcourse ! In fact to many this question seems silly. But are we realy nourishing our body and mind all the time? Are we experiencing true hunger all the time?

Im my experience in juice fasting/feasting, after day three or four without solid food, the digestive system closes down and the body’s nerve energy is redirected to detoxify the body and mind. At this time, hunger feelings vanish and physical and mental energy soars. So where does this abundant energy come from if Im not eating at all, let alone once or twice a day?
I studied Dr Herbert Shelton’s work on Natural Hygeine. He facilitated over 10 000 fasts during his career in healing many dis- eases. He stated that true physical hunger has not been experienced by many people because we eat all the time. In fact true hunger is not an uncomfortable feeling but rather a subtle prompting by the body, much like thirst.

Your body is so amazing and infinite in its intelligence, it will tell you what you need, when you need it, If you eat consciously. This means being mindfull when you do eat.

Before you reach for that bag of crisps or cook that meal, ask yourself:

·         Am I really hungry right now?

·         What does my body need the most? (maybe its water, rest or fruit instead of a snickers bar)

·         Where are my emotions at? Am I sad, Happy, angry? Am I using food to suppress this emotion?

·         While you eat, become aware of how you are feeling, your body will tell you when to stop, when enough is enough. This will always prevent over-eating and weight gain. When you eat consciously you will stop eating at satisfaction instead of when you feel stuffed.

Asking yourself the right questions always brings the right answers from inside you and you start to become conscious about your relationship with food. Awareness is the first step to making a change in the direction you want, be it more energy, weight loss or physical self-esteem. Eat consciously.
When you listen to your body and its true needs your health will improve dramatically, over time your weight will be balanced, your mind will be clear and emotions stable. You will be happier. The answers will always come to you, in the form of a feeling, a thought or a mental picture. Your Body and unconscious mind has all the answers and your answers are perfect for you and not the same as mine.

You are welcome to me with your thoughts, experiences and questions, Id love to hear from you.

Love

21 Day Juice feast Success.

Hi Everyone,
It has been a while since my last post. Quite a lot has happened.
I want to share my experience of my 21 day juice feast.

Juice Feast?
Yes: Consuming atleast 4 litres of fresh raw juices a day, half of which are green alkaline juices.

I reached out to a very special nutritional coach, Courtney Pool, to coach me through my journey. It was one of the best decisions Ive ever made. You can find her at www.courtneypool.com. I cant say how important it is to have an experienced coach helping one through this because it does get tough and having someone who understands what one goes through is oh so valuable.

Let me start with a quick backround. I used to eat emotionally. Food was my drug of choice to mask unhapiness with my life and self, to numb my pain and insecurities. I struggled with weight problems a lot, rollercoasting between funny diets that did more harm than good. I knew there was a way of living that could heal of of this. Ive always believed that pure health and vibrant freedom was MY foundation to success in every other area, right? So for me, a living food diet was my answer, i resonated, but I struggled to make the shift from a SAD diet to living food nutrition.

So what changed for me in these 21 Days?
Physically;
I released quite a lot of toxic waste. waste = weight.
My skin blemishes cleared up. Its like my skin glows now. oh so smooth.
I have so much energy and need less sleep.
My hair, skin and nails are healthier, stronger.
Sorry but this is important - No more constipation! feeling lighter.

Emotionally;
I faced toxic emotions that I had burried and let them go, now my emotions are so stable and peaceful. I feel them more and its wonderful to not resist them.
I feel happy all the time.
Complete Freedom.

Spiritually and Mentally;

Limiting beliefs surfaced, all of them. As an NLP coach I thought I dealt with them but I had more to learn. the feast woke me up from the illussion I had about my 'limited worth'. Funny in Hind Sight.

I discovered Self Love for the first time. So wonderful. Loving myself completely has rippled into every other area and my life is still changing before my eyes. As within, so without ;) I Beleive that taking care of my Body in the best way is a practice of Self Love.

My Juice feast forced me to drop all my props; food, caffeine, sugar, junk food and do a lot of healing. I cant explain how profound a juice feast can be. It forced me to look inside and shoved me in to the present moment. When I took food and cooking and comfort eating out of my life, I had so much time all of a sudden. Me time. Time stood still and I consciously chose how to spend it. pouring my new found energy into my passions, things that make me feel good, like reading, art, dancing.

This journey propelled me to take action toward my passion, hence this blog, and Conscious eating. Nothing makes me happier than helping people reach hapiness through  real health. I am now committed to sharing my knowledge and connecting with people all around the world that want to take their own journey and change themeselves from the inside out, literally.

If you have any questions please connect with me. Id Love to hear from you.

Much Love

Comfort and change

My wonderful friend and consciousness coach, Marcel Dallende, inspired me a long time ago, to make a move out of my comfort zone, scary but sooo rewarding.I want to share this with you .

What positive challenges can you think of committing to?

It doesn’t need to be a big change. Less is more. For me particulary, small changes out of my comfort zone create longer lasting results that a major leap out of it. My 30 day smoothie challenge (below) was a small step, but a powerful one.

On a deep note...

I talk a lot about change. Its what I help others do as an NLP Results coach.

Its our nature to grow. Growth is never ending. No matter how wonderful your life may be, it can be better, you will want more. I do. This is not an ego thing of never being satisfied. Its from our deep knowing of our infinite ability to grow and change into anything we desire, anything we want to experience. As we change and grow in a positive direction, we change the lives of the people in our world. Its bigger than just me or just you.

My positive change unconsciously gives others permission to do the same. Your positive change and growth unconsciously gives others permission to do the same.

Day 30 of 30 day Raw smoothie challenge

What a challenging yet wonderful journey this month has been. 30 Days to form a positive habbit changed so many other things in me too. I learnt to be patient with myself, that good food is love and loving my body, by this one act alone is powerful.

As an NLP Results Coach I am in love with the Human nervous system, its infinite potential and power. Its not just a knowing in my mind anymore but a physical feeling, that is very subtle and it comes from the living energy I fed my body. I felt lighter in a different way and as heavy as lead on the days I missed my raw smoothie. Living foods realy change a person from the inside out.

I am inspired to do better. I will return with another project to share, motivate and inspire you and myself to be the best in anything and everything. Thanks for following.

Todays recipe: lots and lots of freshly squeezed oranges. So yummy, my skin is thanking me :).

I love you all.

Day 29. Energy and Time.

Everything is energy. Everything in existence, the only difference is the frequency of different vibrations. Kirlean photography allows us to capture enery not visible to the naked eye. Its so cool. We would look very much like this raw apple here, just with a slightly stronger vibration and more colours.

So I invite you to consider; If its true that we are what we eat, this means we take on the vibration of everything we consume as well. An amazing thing begins to happen to your body when you consume raw foods. What happens is every one of your trillion cells vibrate at a higher vibration, the vibration of living foods. The effects are - MORE ENERGY amongst a million others. You are what you eat. In my expereince when I was high raw I had so much energy, I had extra time from needing less sleep than others. The human digestive system uses atleast 40% of nerve energy to process cooked food. When I switched to raw, all that energy was freed up because all raw foods have living enzymes that do the digestion for me.

On raw foods, my body does not need as much sleep to detox. From 7 to 8 hours of sleep a night, I was sleeping three hours less on average. This is normal for raw foodists. Lets do the math. Two hours less sleep per night equates to an extra month a year ! What could you do with that extra time? How much more could you achieve?

Initially the transition to more raw foods will create detox, during this time you may even need more sleep to heal. But after the cleansing crisis, Oh boy, your life will change due to more energy and time alone.

Here is a kirlean photo comparing the energy of cooked and raw cabbage.

Todays smoothie recipe: 1 head of baby cabbage, 3 pears and the juice of 6 oranges.

Day 28. Oh My....

Hello Beautiful People.

Day 28 hey! time flies. almost the end of my 30 day challenge and let me tell you it has not been easy. My comfort zone is rather powerful and persuasive in keeping me cosy and unsatisfied ;).

I have learnt a lot this month for which I am grateful. I did miss a few days of keeping up with smoothies and juices and upon self introspection I was able to understand the garbage that supported my sabotage. and its wonderful to uncover, forgive myself and try again.

I learnt that I was not allowing myself to be completely happy. For me happiness is completely dependant on feeling great physically, being healthy, vibrant and confident. This feeling of what i call physical freedom permeates into every area of my life - business, family, being intimate... This awareness brought light to every other area of my life where I was able to take full responsibility - oh yeah - not so easy to do. But, responsibilty is the most powerful force to propel me (and you) to making the change. Because, when you empower yourself with complete responsibility for your creations and feelings that means you can change it all 100%.

So, as my challenge comes to an end, I am deciding on my new journey to raw foods. my new challenge will be refined to take the lessons from this one and keep moving forward.

Success is the progressive realisation of a worthy ideal.
Note to self - its a progressive realisation... not an over night achievement.

Whatever your goal and journey, id like to assure you that one step and one day at a time is powerful. Keep at it. It creates momentum and then one day, voila, you will be living your dream, and so will I !

I love you all.

Isnt this a beautiful inspiration to eat more vibrant foods?

Day 18 of 30 day smoothie challenge

Oh My Gosh todays smoothie recipe is Sooo Delicious !
Bananas, apples, strawberries, blue berries and red currants.

This challenge is definately strenghtening the smoothie ritual for me as the days go by, which is my intention. Baby steps but steps nonetheless.

Rituals define us, I believe. Success and Failiure are not overnight events that just happen, but are the effect of our rituals, our consistent daily actions and thoughts. for example: the daily rituals of a healthy person VS a not so healthy person are very different. One might jump out of bed and exercise or go to Bikram Yoga, while another may wake up and reach for the kettle and coffee cup. Understand?

Oh and by the way, the coffee lady in this example was me and the healthy person is my fiance'. our results are very different. Over time our rituals create our results.

I invite you to look at where you want change in your life.

1) Be honest about your current results and circunstance.write them down.
2) What rituals got you there ? write them down

3) What changes do you want ?
4) What small daily rituals will get you there? write them down. Make the decision and take action.

For me, the daily smoothie ritual is a positive habit in the direction of my health goals. Im not 100% RAW yet but i will get there in my own time :). In the past my mind set was an all or nothing approach and I failed, learnt my lessons and here I am starting at the begining, even happier. The benefits of consuming a massive smoothie daily packed with living nutrients are massive. Big change from 1 small consistent action.

I hope you benefit from this blog in your personal pursuits to vibrant health. I hope to inspire you all through my baby steps. Much Love to you.

Day 16. Your body is your canvass

How are you today?

All is well in Johannesburg today. Winter is upon us and the selection of seasonal fruits and vegetables is changing. Beautiful.

My thoughts today.....I am what I eat. Its evident. Just one look in the mirror and I can see the effects of fruits and smoothies and raw foods. I can also see the abuse my Body has endured through processed foods.  Our bodies take the shape, tone and vibration of the foods we eat. Eat living, ripe, glowing foods and your body will reflect your beautiful soul through a living, glowing, vibrant body. Yes it is this simple.

No need to focus on the past. I can, and you can make a new start Now. Its beautiful that there is no need to wait until tomorrow morning or monday or 1 January. You can make a change this minute.

Where would you like to take your life and health now? And what will it look like when you get there? How will you look and feel?

Go on, take a moment to stop what you are doing and create the new you in your mind.

Think -amazing, glowing, beautiful, energetic, confident, sexy, vibrantly healthy ! Everything is created twice. First in the mind and then it is reflected into the world where you live it. This is the working of the Universe.

I cannot decide on my smoothie recipe for today, out to the grocer later to expolre my options and I will share with you  tomorrow. Much Love to you.

Day 14 of 30 day smoothie challenge

Beautiful People, Its Day 14 already !! Just about half way. And I just realised that my day 30 will be celebrated on my birthday, May 31 :)

Everyday I love Raw foods more and more, exploring raw food recipe's, there are so many online. Raw food is the ultimate fast food. straight from nature. Todays smoothie was a yummy mix of bananas, spinach, parsley, apples and celery leaves.

My personal recomendation is to have atleast a litre of your favourite smoothie as your last meal and have it early if you want to deepen and accelerate detox. Raw foods digests QUICKLY because its packed with living enzymes freeing your body from massive nerve energy it would otherwise need to digest cooked food. This ensures that by the time you go to bed all the digestion is taken care of and you will wake up with more energy, clarity, reduced puffiness and reduced water retention. There are lots of sources online about the benefits of nightly fasting which I'll write about more this week so stay tuned.

:)  TO YOUR HEALTH AND HAPPINESS  :)

Day 13 and Leveraging the Universe

Hello Beauties

Apologies for the leave of absence. I have been quite busy but all is well. I am reading a lot at the moment as well. I am inspired by Mike Dooley's Leveraging the Universe.

Let me first begin with a brief backround. Since I was very young I was always interested in Human potential. Learning how to tap into it and seeking an extra-ordinary life. I have been a student of unlimited human power for years and done many courses, read all the books and did whatever I could. I am inspired by helping others through what I know through their own personal breakthrough.. I digress... through it all I forgot how amazingly simple life is. I forgot how simple it realy is to create anything in life. My ego was complicating things a bit ;)

I believe that we are all creators, master manifestors and potent prophets of our lives and all creation, and this has no link to any religion. I beleive it is who we are.

In this book, Mike Dooley spells out exactly what can, should and must be done to harness the Universe and life's magic is the most simple, profound and humorous way. I have been re-inspired to take my life to a new level in my health and businesses.

Id like to share one of Mike's messages from the Universe and one of my favourites that reminds me and maybe you too, to keep moving toward your dreams.

A Note from the Universe

The secret behind miracles is that the ones performing them begin without any knowledge whatsoever of exactly how they will succeed.

Yet still they begin.
When you move, I move.
     The Universe.

PS: Once again, taking action saves the day.

Day 8, 8 May.

Keeping it light today.

I decided to remove the pulp and get juicy. Todays Juice consists of 1 cucumber, ginger, 3 apples, 3 carrots and 1 beet.

Isnt this beautiful. Beetroot and ginger make a potent combination and flush out the liver.

You are beautiful ! Have a beautiful day :)

Going Green. Day 6 of 30 day smoothie challenge.

I enjoy green smoothies a lot. They lift me up, almost like the fog clears from my brain ;)I feel that the more simple the recipe, the happier my body.

Todays smoothie consists of nothing but organic spinach, bananas and the juice of 4 oranges.
I am experiencing significant detox still - release of a lot of mucus, and feeling tired.

The Beauty of physical change and healing is that it never takes as long to detox as it does to get to a toxic state.

Have a Beautiful Sunday. Cheers.

Day 5. Geting Juicy and drowning my excuses

Sound Familiar?
Forming my new habbit of juicing and drinking a raw smoothie daily takes some conscious effort at first, until I am unconsciously competent at it. Its already day 5 and each day becomes easier and more enjoyable.

Today I enjoyed a rather lazy day after some early morning work and enjoyed a beautifully sweet, fresh apple and carrot juice. Carrot juice is adored by our skin. regular consumption makes my skin soft like velvet which I welcome as we move into a rather dry winter climate.

What small piece of 'wisdom' can I offer you? I believe that optimum health, vibrancy and the feeling of freedom and sexiness that comes with it feels way better than anything tastes. (Plus Raw Foods taste amazing). I invite you to make any change that takes you in the direction of your health and hapiness. Its worth it. You are worth it.

Day 4. Detox and staying focused

Pain is weakness leaving the body.
If you are on any kind of dietary transition like me, you are going to go through detox at some stage. Its inevitable. Welcome it. Pain is weakness leaving the body.

Raw foods is so powerful in how it cleanses and heals that you may think the discomfort is caused by the raw foods or healthier foods. This is a myth.

Raw foods frees up so much nervous energy that it would usually use to digest and assimilate cooked and processed foods, so when you start to switch over that energy is freed up and re-directed to handle some much needed internal housekeeping. your cells will release toxins resulting in unpleasant detox but this is short lived. Some detox symptoms are; headaches, feeling tired, body odour, diziness, nausea or vommiting.

Your body is a genius and knows exactly how to heal. listen to your body and give it the rest it needs.

Remember: It has to rain before you can see the rainbow.

Today Im enjoying a green smoothie. 60% fruit (2 bananas and 2 oranges) and 40% leafy greens in the form of spinach from my garden.

Thursday, 3 May 2012

Day 3 Baby

,Day 3. I love this number. The Miracle of Living foods is that in such a short time im already feeling the difference. The changes that Im experiencing are:

Todays Smoothie consists of: Papaya, bananas, apples, a piece of ginger and juice of 3 squeezed oranges.

My Family have joined me on this challenge and have reported no cravings or hunger during the day and a feeling of lightness, waking up in the morning.

To your health, cheers :)

Wednesday, 2 May 2012

Day 2. Im Filled with gratitude

Day 2 of my smoothie challenge
and I could already notice my negative self talk, trying to keep me in my comfort zone. But Alas, here is my delicious smoothie of the day, ready to download me with hapiness :)

Todays recipe: Bananas, papaya, apple, spinach and freshly squeezed orange juice.

Today I am extra grateful for my Life. I beleive that every moment of my life is MY creation, the good and the ugly. I beleive that I am a potent prophet of my own life and today my gratitude was amplified by all my creations big and small.

Im grateful that my puppies behaved today :), im grateful for my Businesses that are growing so beautifuly. Im grateful to be surrounded by good people that help one another. Im grateful for my home and family. Im grateful to be able to eat this way and heal my body, Im even grateful for the detox symptoms. It means that my body is changing and healing.

What else can you be grateful for now? its a magical feeling that only brings you more abundance and creations to be grateful for.

Much Love to you all

Day 1 of 30 day smoothie challenge

Good Morning beauties. Day 1 of my challenge is starting off well. If you would like to participate all you have to do is consume atleast 1 raw vegan smoothie a day. No need to change anything else in your routines and rituals. Just add this miracle drink to your day and allow the changes to happen to your body naturally. Todays smoothie consists of: Bananas, guavas and spinach.

The ratio is about 60% fruit and 40% leafy greens. This ratio is perfect for me. The sweet fruit masks the bitterness of the greens and my body sings with joy every time I have one.

You can use any fruit and greens combination you want. We are in Autum now in South Africa so the recipes I use will differ to where you are.
Please share your recipe with me. Id love to know how you are doing.
Benefits of Green smoothies:

-Living nutrients are flooding your body.

-Easy to digest and assimilate. Blending ruptures the cell walls and so the nutrients are absorbed quicky. It may be why your mood changes instantly :)

- A molecule of chlorophyll closely resembles a molecule of human blood. According to teachings of Dr. Ann Wigmore, "consuming chlorophyll is like receiving a healthy blood transfusion". Many people do not consume enough greens, even those who stay on a raw food diet. By drinking two or three cups of green smoothies daily you will consume enough greens for the day to nourish your body, and all of the beneficial nutrients will be well assimilated.

-Your colon will get a much needed scrub. the fibre in the fruits are soft and gentle on your intestines and sweep your colon clean. A misconception of people practicing this for the first time is that they experience constipation in the first day or two. This is due to the natural bulk fibre that the body needs to adjust to. in no time, the cleaning will accelerate and you may be amazed as to how much junk is stored in your body.

30 Day Raw Smoothie Challenge - 1 May 2012

Hello World :)

Thank you for visiting my Blog. My name is Evagelia but to my family and friends its Vagi. Vagi uncooked is to share my journey in raw foods and knowledge through 7 years of study and personal experimenting. My dream and goal is to be 100% raw vegan. Why? because I want infinite health, vibrant energy and health. I want to look and feel amazing, regenerate, become younger and meet my authentic self. A cooked life is not cool. I've been on both sides of this fence and I know what I want. I plan to share my experiences, knowledge and journey to amazing health and vitality through raw foods. I will give you my all, my extensive knowledge and resources, learnings from whom I consider the best proponents of raw food and health in the World and my personal experience.

So lets get cracking..

My Theme for the next 30 days will highlight my personal challenge - 30 day raw smoothie challenge.I invite you all to participate in this life changing practice :0). Your body will love you for it. Ive made this challenge realy basic to take the pressure off. transitioning does not need to be an all or nothing event, overnight. This challenge will also illuminate the massive change you and I can experience in our body by this one raw food practice alone while not pressuring your body into too much change and detox all at once. Its taken me a life time to get to the toxic state i'm in but luckily it wont take as much time to regenerate. One step at a time. No rush - enjoy the change.

Requirement to participate:
Consume atleast 1 raw vegan smoothie everyday for 30 days. Thats it. There is no pressure to change anything else in your lifestyle, just this one addition. Im certain that my life will change by this alone.

If you want to join in, you will need a blender (atleast 800W) and fresh produce. I'll share tips to my local community in Johannesburg on where to buy local produce etc.

Benefits of raw foods and especially making smoothies from my personal experience in the past:
-improved digestion
-clearer skin
-cellular detox
-more energy
-fewer cravings of junk food
-you will provide your body with the raw nutrients it needs to heal
-more nutrients and vitamins through not cooking or killing your food
-mental clarity
-reduced water retention - raw smoothies are 100% biological water to flush out dead water in your cells.
-stronger nails
-less hair loss
-and this is for the ladies - more manageable monthly cycle.

If you would like to join me, please do. Id love to hear your experiences and changes in only 30 days. I will post a recipe daily and a video every few days. You can start at any time, keep me posted and feel free to use the recipes here. there is an abundance of raw smoothie recipes online.

Thanks for visiting

May your life never be the same again.
Love Vagi
